Eagles' A.J. Brown makes disrespectful decision after his nightmare season ends image

A.J. Brown had a season he, and everyone else with the Philadelphia Eagles, would like to forget.

The mercurial wide receiver spoke out publicly about his role in a variety of different ways. Instead of being his usual superstar self, Brown created plenty of negative attention as the Eagles tried to defend their Super Bowl title.

That title defense ended on Sunday in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Brown caught just three of the nine targets that came his way, and he also had a shouting match on the sideline with head coach Nick Sirianni.

After the game, we never got to hear Brown's perspective on what happened.

Instead, he skipped his postgame media obligation and hustled out of the stadium.

Many fans will point out that it would stink for Brown to have to speak to the media after such a game.

At the same time, it's called an obligation for a reason. The players are supposed to do it.

Brown has handled his relationship with the media this season better than some players would as he's gone through this bumpy campaign. He has been at various times quite honest and rather respectful.

So this isn't necessarily something Brown does often. It's different than Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, who has stopped talking to reporters in the locker room altogether so he can just share his controlled take on his own podcast.

But on this night, one in which Eagles fans would've loved to hear what was going through Brown's head, they didn't get the chance.
