As usual, GM Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles have put together a competitive 90-man roster for training camp, which is scheduled to kick off on July 23.
One notable stat about this year’s group? Over one third of the roster is scheduled to enter a contract year in 2025, including all six tight ends and four prominent players from last year’s Super Bowl champion.
The Eagles have had a ton of success in recent years with players on one-year or expiring contracts. Some recent examples include linebacker Zack Baun, EDGE Josh Sweat, defensive tackle Milton Williams and guard Mekhi Becton.
Philly will enter training camp this month with 32 such players on their roster. A number of those guys won’t end up making the cut for the initial 53-man roster, but here’s the full list of players who are currently scheduled to become unrestricted, restricted or exclusive rights free agents at the end of the 2025 season:

Here are the definitions for each of the NFL's free-agent classifications:
- Unrestricted free agent (UFA): Any player with four or more accrued seasons and an expired contract; free to negotiate and sign with any team.
- Restricted free agent (RFA): A player with three accrued seasons and an expired contract. RFAs are free to negotiate and sign with any team, but their original team can offer them one of various qualifying offers ("tenders") that come with the right of first refusal and/or draft-pick compensation. If the tender is withdrawn by a team, the RFA becomes an unrestricted free agent.
- Exclusive rights free agent (ERFA): Any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.
When does Eagles training camp begin?
The Philadelphia Eagles' 2025 training camp officially kicks-off with players reporting on Tuesday, July 22. The first practice will take place on Wednesday, July 23. A public practice will be held at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, Aug. 10.
How much 2025 salary cap space does Philadelphia have?
The Eagles are among the NFL leaders in cap space, thanks to their low-cost approach to the 2025 league year. Philly currently has $30.7 million in projected salary cap space for this season, which is the ninth most in football, per Over the Cap.
