The Philadelphia Eagles had their 2025 season come to an end at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, falling 23-19 in the wild card round. And while it was the Eagles' final game of the 2025 season, it could also end up being the final game in an Eagles uniform for one of Philadelphia's rising star defenders.
Linebacker Nakobe Dean will be a free agent this March. Speaking to the media after the game, the Georgia product admitted he doesn't know if he'll be back in Philadelphia next season.
"Nakobe Dean says this is a very tough loss and he says it’s weird because he doesn’t know if he has played his last game with the Eagles," John Clark reports "He says he took a picture of his locker."
Dean has been a focal point of the Eagles' defense since being drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his four years with the Eagles, he's racked up 226 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.
The Eagles are projected to have just over $22 million in cap space this coming offseason. With questions looming around wide receiver A.J. Brown and his future with the team, as well, the Eagles will have a lot of big decisions to make on several players instrumental in helping them win Super Bowl LIX.
