The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers both have clear interest in Brian Daboll as their next offensive coordinator.

In fact, not only do the Eagles have interest, Daboll is considered one of the team's top choices to fill the role, and understandably so after he had a ton of success as  offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.

"Former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll are at the top of their list, sources say," The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported last week.

The Chargers likely have Daboll at the top of their list as well, and they are reportedly going to interview the former New York Giants head coach.

As the Eagles prepare to interview Daboll on Tuesday, there is a belief that the Bills may turn to Daboll to fill their head-coach vacancy after firing Sean McDermott on Monday.

"Talking to NFL executives around the league about Buffalo’s next head coach options, the name that keeps coming up is a familiar one, a Buffalo native and someone Josh Allen loves: Brian Daboll," Russini reported.

To be clear, there haven't been any reports suggesting the Bills will even interview Daboll, but it's fair to assume the team will at least consider hiring him given his history with Allen and the success Daboll had calling the offense in Buffalo.

If the Bills do have interest in Daboll, it's bad news for the Eagles and Chargers for a few reasons.

For starters, if Daboll is offered a head-coach position by the Bills, he's going to take that over going back to being an offensive coordinator.

Another issue is if Daboll is a candidate for the Bills job, he's going to wait out the process to see if he can land the gig, and it's important to point out that wait could last weeks with the Bills just getting into the head-coaching market this week.

That would mean the Eagles and Chargers will have to wait it out with Daboll if they really want him bad enough, and the danger in that is both teams could lose out on other candidates they like in the process while having zero guarantee that Daboll will actually take the job.
