The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys have one thing in common, according to wide receiver A.J. Brown.

When asked about the desperate position the Cowboys are in ahead of their Week 12 game with the Eagles, Brown admitted that Philadelphia is also desperate.

"We're desperate, too! We're trying to get it going. We're desperate, too," Brown said, per Zach Berman of The Athletic.

The Cowboys' desperation stems from the fact that they're sitting at 4-5-1 and have very little margin for error when it comes to their playoff hopes.

Making matters worse, Dallas has to square off against an Eagles team that sports one of the best records in the NFL at 8-2.

Of course, the Eagles are desperate for a different reason.

Philadelphia's offense has not been operating at a high level this season, as both the passing and rushing attacks have struggled. Unlike the Cowboys, the Eagles have been able to lean on their defense to overcome those issues.

Despite his public frustration, Brown is optimistic that Philly's passing attack is close to getting on track.

"I think we are (close to clicking)," he said, according to Berman. "I think that's the mindset to have. It's really just cleaning up those mistakes. It's not about being close. It's us finishing up drives.

"Defense has been incredible. And we're just trying to do our part and that starts with things that take no talent, as Nick says all the time," Brown added.

The Eagles' offense has a good bounce-back spot this week, as the Cowboys sport one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Dallas ranks 30th against the pass and 24th against the run.

If Philly's offense doesn't get it together this week, that will only add to the desperation Brown talked about.
