Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," is only days old, yet it has already captivated many of her most devoted fans.
Anything Swift releases tends to draw major attention. Early reviews have been mixed, with some praising Max Martin's production while others scrutinize Swift's lyrical choices. Still, business continues to boom in Swift's camp — according to Billboard, she sold nearly 3 million copies of "The Life of a Showgirl" on its first day of release in the U.S.
Swift built on that momentum with a new music video release. On Sunday night, she dropped the visual for "The Fate of Ophelia," her first music video since last year's "I Can Do It All With a Broken Heart."
Here's what you need to know about Swift's newest music video and the song that inspired it.

Taylor Swift 'Ophelia' Travis Kelce references
Swift likens her and Kelce's relationship to that of Shakespeare's Hamlet, invoking the English playwright's famed heroine, Ophelia.
In the usual telling of Shakespeare's epic, Ophelia is overcome with madness and drowns. In Swift's version, someone saves Ophelia from suffering the same fate.
The lyrics include countless nods to Kelce. Take this line:
“Keep it one hundred on the land, the sea, the sky. Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes"
The extended Shakespeare metaphor also fits neatly into Swift and Kelce's announcement of their engagement.
