DUBLIN — The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings will duke it out in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season. While the league has already played an international game this season in Week 1, this will be the first game to head across the pond to Europe.
Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, will host the game, set to kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, September 28. Both teams are entering the game with records of 2-1 and coming off wins.
The Steelers have not looked like themselves this season. Pittsburgh's offense has been fairly consistent, but the defense has not only been lackluster, but also overall bad. The Steelers have scored the go-ahead score with less than two and a half minutes left in the game in each of their wins so far this season. Their lone loss has been to the Seattle Seahawks, and Pittsburgh only mustered 17 points, while allowing 31. The Steelers' defense has allowed a total of 77 points through three games, the 11th-most in the NFL, having played the New York Jets, Seahawks, and New England Patriots.
The Vikings struggled in Week 2, and to add an injury to the insulting loss, quarterback J.J. McCarthy suffered an ankle injury that caused him to miss the Week 3 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Minnesota turned to veteran backup Carson Wentz, who made history by starting a game in six consecutive seasons for six different teams. He filled in well against the Bengals, and his defense helped him out with two scores of their own. Minnesota announced early in the week that Wentz would start again in Week 4, setting up a battle against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers.

2nd Quarter
10:53 a.m. -- The Steelers took over with six seconds left in the half. Rodgers decided to kneel it out.
FIELD GOAL -- Steelers 14, Vikings 6
10:50 a.m. -- The Vikings took over deep in their territory. Minnesota got helped out by Pittsburgh rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, who got flagged for roughing the passer on first down.
Wentz was able to hit Jefferson to get the ball across midfield. He scrambled on the next play and hit Jefferson downfield; he slipped with nobody near him. Minnesota took its final timeout. On second down, Wentz threw it behind T.J. Hockenson to bring up third down. He floated one to the endzone, and it was nearly picked but the defender was ruled out of bounds.
The Vikings lined up for the field goal, but the Steelers were called for the five-yard penalty. That moved them closer, and Minnesota still hit the 28-yard field goal.
10:40 a.m. -- On their next drive, the Steelers faced third and one near the 50-yard line. They went with a halfback dive to Kenneth Gainwell, and it looked like he got it on a gain of two, but then he was shoved after the play and the Vikings got called for unnecessary roughness, so the Steelers got an extra 15 out of the play.
Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers was pressured, so he took off down the field. He was tackled from behind and fumbled it, but it was instantly scooped by Broderick Jones, who secured possession and the first down for Pittsburgh. That took us to the two-minute warning.
On second down out of the break, Rodgers was thrown to the ground and lost 11 yards on a sack. On third down, Rodgers hit Gainwell over the middle, and he took it to the right, but wasn't able to get a first down.
Steelers attempted a 30-yard field goal, but it was blocked.

10:25 a.m. -- The Vikings couldn't get anything going on the first two plays of their next drive, only picking up five yards, but Minnesota was able to keep their drive alive.
After a virutal measurement, the Vikings were later facing fourth down and inches on their drive. They didn't go for a tush push, but a fullback handoff to Mason who easily picked it up the first down on a gain of nine.
Wentz was pressured and was picked off by the Steelers defense. It looked like the ball had been tipped, because the ball came out wobbly, but nonetheless it is a turnover.

10:13 a.m. -- Rodgers hits Metcalf over the middle and the wide receiver took it EIGHTY yards for the score. It looked like Calvin Austin III didn't get enough on a block toward the end of the play, but Metcalf pushed his way into the endzone for the score.

The press box announcer said that that play gave Rodgers the record for most 50-yard completions in NFL history.
10:08 a.m. -- Wentz didn't find his returning teammate but Jordan Addison brings in his first reception of the game in the second. He missed the team's first three games due to a suspension from the NFL.
Nate Herbig brings Carson Wentz down with a sack on third down and the Vikings will be forced to punt.
1st Quarter
TOUCHDOWN -- Steelers 7, Vikings 3
9:57 a.m. -- Pittsburgh's second drive starts with a handoff to Kenneth Gainwell for a gain of nine. Rodgers was able to hit DK Metcalf for a 10-yard gain to move the chains. He found Metcalf for another big 10-yard gain for a first down. Rodgers rewarded his wide receiver with another pass, which Metcalf pushed for a 10-yard gain
Pittsburgh's first trip in the redzone ended with a one-yard score from Gainwell which sent the crowd into a frenzy.

9:47 a.m. -- Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz wastes no time in hitting Justin Jefferson for a short gain, and Jordan Mason picks up seven yards for a first down.
With TJ Watt on his heels, Wentz hit Mason on a swing pass for a gain of seven yards. It looked like the Steelers defense couldn't do anything to stop the Minnesota momentum, but then Mason fumbled the ball and Jalen Ramsey returned it for a touchdown.

After review, though, it was determined that Mason was out of bounds when he fumbled, so possession stays with Minnesota.
On third and nine from the Steelers' 15-yard line, linebacker Patrick Queen blitzed off the edge and was untouched as he obliterated Wentz in the backfield. The Vikings were able to hit the 41-yard field goal for the early lead.
9:36 a.m. -- Bad news for Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he gets sacked for a loss of eight on the play. They go play action on second down, with Rodgers hitting Kenneth Gainwell for a gain of six. On the long third down, Rodgers is blitzed and has to hurriedly hit Jonnu Smith for a loss of one.
A bad first opening drive as the Steelers offense had a net loss of two yards.

8:55 a.m. -- NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported ahead of the game that Steelers backup quarterback Skylar Thompson was jumped and robbed on Friday night in Dublin. He sustained minor injuries, but is okay.
