Joey Porter Jr. Has been nothing short of a shutdown corner this season. He’s gone 1,417 straight snaps in coverage without giving up a touchdown—the longest active streak among NFL cornerbacks and more than twice as long as anyone else in the league.

The last time Porter allowed a touchdown was back in Week 8 of 2023, and since then, he’s been making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. This year, he’s made a play on the ball on over 22% of his targets, ranking third among cornerbacks with at least 50 targets. Quarterbacks are completing just 52.4% of their throws when targeting him, which is among the lowest completion rates in the league.

Porter has also cleaned up his game in 2025, picking up fewer penalties—around eight by late December—while still keeping his aggressive style. Coaches and analysts note that he’s focused on polishing his technique, showing that he can be both tough and smart in coverage.

If he keeps this up, Joey Porter Jr. Isn’t just a top corner—he’s becoming a player teams cannot throw at.
