Shedeur Sanders blamed for $50 million mistake after NFL Draft slide to Browns pick image

Everyone is getting in on the Shedeur Sanders take machine.

The Colorado QB was a consensus first-round pick, but he fell to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday with the No. 144 overall pick.

There have been lots of possible blames thrown out there.

Some think it was the fault of the Sanders family and father Deion Sanders.

Others have blamed Sanders' interview process.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. The last three days have featured every idea about why Sanders may have fallen.

Hall of Fame NFL receiver Cris Carter has his own take, too. He says Sanders cost himself between $30 and $50 million by his behavior knocking him down draft boards.

"Let me tell you what, 'He ain't running s—,'" Carter said in a podcast appearance. "They taught him a great lesson."

Carter called out the pre-draft video of Sanders asking Cam Ward to make a rap video. Ward responded that he just plays football.

Carter also called out Sanders' brand, named after the word "Legendary."

"He threw away at least $30 to $50 million," Carter said. "At least!"

Here's the full clip:

There are definitely two sides to this argument, but Carter clearly doesn't like how Sanders handled himself in the lead up to the draft.

Now it's on Shedeur to answer the critics and show what he can do.
