The NFL's international schedule continues into Week 7 this season, with the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars traveling overseas.

London has become a top destination for the league's matchups, as there's been an NFL game in the city every year since 2007, outside of 2020. In Week 7, it'll be an inter-conference meeting between Liam Coen's Jaguars and Sean McVay's Rams in London.

The two squads will be playing in Wembley Stadium, while other London matchups will be played in other stadiums.

Wembley Stadium, which is officially called "Wembley Stadium connected by EE" for sponsorship reasons, is named after the suburb of London it's in, Wembley, It is in the northwestern part of the city. The venue is around 30 minutes away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where other 2025 NFL London games will be played.

With a total of 90,000 seats, it is the second-largest stadium in Europe. In comparison, the largest NFL stadium capacity is the Jets' and Giants' MetLife Stadium, which has 82,500 seats.

In 2007, Wembley Stadium opened on the site of the original Wembley Stadium, which stood from 1923 until 2003.

The NFL does have a history at Wembley Stadium, including last season's matchup between the Jaguars and New England Patriots.

Who plays at Wembley Stadium?

Wembley Stadium is owned by The Football Association, so it primarily serves as a soccer venue. It is England's national soccer stadium, so the venue hosts most of the England national team's home matches and the FA Cup Final.

Other significant soccer events that are played at Wembley Stadium include the FA Community Shield, the FA Trophy, the FA Vase, the Women's FA Cup finals and some home games for the England women's national football team. From 2017-19, it was the temporary home for Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur.

Wembley Stadium was also the host of the 2011, 2013 and the 2024 Champions League Finals and the gold-medal matches at the 2012 Olympic Games football tournament. The other sport that is often played at the venue is rugby, including the Rugby Football League's Challenge Cup, the Women's Challenge Cup, and the 1895 Cup finals.

History of NFL games in Wembley

The NFL has a long history at Wembley Stadium. At the old venue, there were eight exhibitions games played there between 1986 and 1993.When the new stadium was opened in 2007, the first NFL game was played in October between the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. It was the first-ever NFL regular season game outside of North America.

The Jaguars have become regulars at Wembley Stadium, playing 10 games there from 2013-2024. Jacksonville has also played two games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. NFL games at Wembley Stadium have also often brought in attendances of over 80,000 people.
