Following another loss on Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders seem to be looking everywhere for answers. The team is now 2-6 on the season, following a crushing 30-29 overtime defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9. In this close contest, the Raiders were stopped on a two-point conversion that would have given them the victory.
With losses like that, the Raiders are going shopping for all the help they can get, as they hope to salvage what's left of the 2025 season. Reportedly, the team has reached out to the New York Giants, apparently showing interest in guard Evan Neal, a former standout for the Alabama Crimson Tide who hasn't really panned out in the pros.
Neal, New York's first-round pick (7th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft, was originally projected as a tackle, but was forced inside to the guard position. Unfortunately for the 6'7", 340-pounder, injuries and inconsistency have marred his career thus far, causing many analysts to label him as a bust.

The Giants are said to be open to trading Neal, potentially for a mid-round draft pick. Meanwhile, the Raiders need to shore up an offensive line that has allowed 19 sacks and always seems to have defenders swarming the backfield. The 25-year-old lineman could fill the bill with a change of scenery.
While Neal wouldn't be expected to be a superstar in Las Vegas, he would be adding depth to a unit that has been hit with injuries. Raiders guard Caleb Rogers and tackle Kolton Miller. Two third-round picks, Charles Grant and Caleb Rogers, are available, but the rookies have limited game experience.
