The NFL returns for Week 13 with three Thanksgiving games. The action kicks off as the Green Bay Packers travel to play the Detroit Lions in an important NFC North contest.
Following a defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Packers (7-3-1) have now secured consecutive victories. Their latest triumph was a decisive 23-6 victory against the Minnesota Vikings. Despite the absence of their starting running back, Josh Jacobs, backup Emmanuel Wilson delivered an outstanding performance. He accumulated 107 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns on 28 carries, also making two receptions for 18 yards.
Detroit (7-4) suffered a narrow defeat against Philadelphia in Week 11, but bounced back with a victory against the New York Giants in Week 12. Although a win is a positive outcome, the Lions required overtime to overcome the Giants. The defensive unit had difficulty stopping Jameis Winston and New York's deceptive plays, and Detroit might have lost if not for Jahmyr Gibbs' outstanding performance. The primary running back accumulated 219 yards and two scores on 15 rushes, along with 45 receiving yards and an additional touchdown from 11 catches.

3:00 p.m. -- St. Brown remained sidelined for The Lions coming out of halftime. Detroit persisted with its strategy of short passes and running the ball. The Lions encountered a fourth-and-three situation at the Packers' 47-yard line. Detroit's head coach, Dan Campbell, opted to attempt the conversion with a run up the middle by Gibbs. He was stopped for a loss of two yards, resulting in the Lions starting the second half with a turnover on downs.

2:33 p.m. -- The Packers attempted a pass, but it fell incomplete. After that, they decided just to take the game into halftime.
TOUCHDOWN -- Packers 17, Lions 14
2:30 p.m. -- With the score as it was, the Lions were facing a time crunch before the break. Detroit executed one play prior to the two-minute warning. Following that, the Lions continued to focus on their running game. Goff eventually initiated the passing offense with a 25-yard reception by Williams. The wide receiver's contribution didn't end there. After evading a tackle, he navigated through the defense for a 22-yard touchdown with just 25 seconds remaining in the first half.

2:17 p.m. -- After a couple of drives, Love's passing has shown significant improvement. Following an initial incompletion, he successfully connected on his subsequent five attempts, culminating in a 23-yard throw to tight end Luke Musgrave. A defensive infraction placed Green Bay at the four-yard line on third down. Love then advanced the ball three yards, setting up a fourth-and-short situation. Post-timeout, Love found Doubs for the touchdown.

Tom Kennedy, promoted from the practice squad, made a 23-yard catch. The Lions reached the goal line, and David Montgomery received a direct snap for a three-yard touchdown.

1:30 p.m. -- Detroit achieved a first down on their subsequent possession, yet it concluded with a punt following five plays. The worry is that star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had his ankle rolled on by two teammates, causing him to go down. He was immediately taken to the locker room and was considered questionable to re-enter the game.
