Report cards are used in school as a way for students and parents to get an understanding of where the child is in their academic progress. A good report card could lead to a celebratory dinner, while a bad one may result in punishment, such as a loss of TV or video games at home.

However, report cards aren't just limited to the education system — they exist in the sporting world, as well.

The NHLPA released its second annual team report cards on Wednesday, giving an insight into how all 32 clubs around the league are viewed by the players. A number of factors are being evaluated in these surveys, including the quality of training rooms, the treatment of players' families, and how the head coach and owner are viewed by their employees.

This year, the Dolphins and the Vikings stood out in the best way possible. Minnesota, who finished first out of the 32 teams last year, ceded the top spot to Miami; however, the two clubs were referred to as "far and above ahead of everyone else" by NHLPA president J.C. Tretter, coming in first and second this go-around.

With the good comes the bad, and there were a few organizations that did not impress. The Commanders received a failing grade again, as Washington finished dead last in the survey for the second consecutive season.

NFL team report cards 2024

This marks the second year that the NHLPA is rolling out report cards for each team. The initiative started last year as a way for the fans to get an idea of how the players feel each team grades out in certain aspects of their facilities.

After garnering positive feedback last year, the NHLPA had 1,706 active NFL players complete the survey in full, which nets out to more than a 77-percent response rate. The poll is expected to be an annual occurrence in order to educate the players on how other organizations around the league operate in the eyes of their peers.
