NFL mock drafts 2022: Compare latest from Mel Kiper, Daniel Jeremiah, Todd McShay, other experts image

Yes, there is a draft in here. In fact, there are several.

With the NFL cooling off from free agency before it reheats for the 2022 NFL Draft, the constant shuffling of the top of the board continues. With no surefire No. 1 overall pick, few analysts and experts agree on who could be the top selection, or any of the top five picks, or even 10.

With the NFL franchise tag deadline come and gone, the blockbuster trades of Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson, the start of free agency and a number of other prominent trades done, the NFL Draft is the next tentpole in the offseason.

BIG BOARD: Ranking the top 100 prospects for 2022 NFL Draft

Here's how five of the latest mock drafts — from TSN's Vinnie Iyer, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah and The Athletic's Dane Brugler — stack up:

Vinnie Iyer's mock draft (The Sporting News)

Noteworthy:

— There can only be one: Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett is the sole first-round quarterback taken in Jeremiah's latest mock.

— The deep pass-rush class is pretty evident: There are seven first-round EDGE talents taken, including going 1-2-3 at the top.

— The Falcons make an immediate pick to replace Calvin Ridley, taking Ridley clone Garrett Wilson with the No. 8 pick.

Noteworthy:

— McShay has the Commanders taking linebacker Devin Lloyd after Washington acquired Carson Wentz.

— With Tyrann Mathieu moving on from Kansas City, the Chiefs replace him with Dax Hill, the standout Wolverine safety.

— The Packers finally draft a first-round wide receiver: They take Penn State's Jahan Dotson with the No. 28 pick.

Dane Brugler's mock draft (The Athletic)

Brugler's latest mock draft was released on March 8:

32Detroit Lions (via LAR)Desmond RidderQBCincinnati

Noteworthy:

— Brugler has Kenny Pickett, even post-NFL Combine, as the first QB off the board, with Malik Willis falling all the way to No. 18.

— The Cowboys (preemptively) replace Amari Cooper with Treylon Burks at No. 24. Burks had a less-than stellar combine, perhaps fueling the fall.

— From Bearcats to big cats: At the back end of the first round, the Lions take Desmond Ridder with Pick No. 32. That feels about right for the Bearcat QB, who some believe is a lock for the second round.
