NFL Draft picks by college 2023: Alabama, Georgia tie for most players drafted image

Alabama and Georgia continued their college football rivalry at the 2023 NFL Draft.

This time, it ended in a tie. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs each had 10 players selected in the draft, which tied for the most picks among college football schools.

Alabama had three first-round picks in Carolina's Bryce Young (No. 1), Houston's Will Anderson (No. 3) and Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs (No. 12). The Crimson Tide followed that with five picks on Day 2 and two on Day 3.

This marks the fourth time in the last six years Alabama had the most players drafted under Nick Saban.

Georgia set a NFL record in 2022 with 15 players drafted. The Bulldogs had 10 players this year, an impressive two-year run that includes back-to-back national championships. Philadelphia took Jalen Carter (No. 9) and Nolan Smith (No. 30) in the first round, and Pittsburgh grabbed Broderick Jones (No. 14) for the Bulldogs' third first-round pick.

Michigan and TCU, teams that played in a thrilling 51-45 College Football Playoff semifinal at the Fiesta Bowl last season, were next. The Wolverines had nine players taken, and the Horned Frogs finished with eight.

The SEC led all conferences with 62 players selected. The Big Ten finished second with 56 picks.
