The 2025 NFL season is almost over, which means the 2026 offseason is quickly approaching.

Most teams are now focused on next year, hoping to improve their rosters and their standing from this season. In fact, with the conference championships over, only two teams are still working with Super Bowl 60 in mind.

When the season ended, 18 teams knew where they stood in the NFL draft, and a dozen other teams determined their draft spots over the course of the playoffs. The Las Vegas Raiders will kick off the festivities with the first pick, followed by the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans.

Headlining this year's class is Fernando Mendoza, who is coming off a season in which he won the Heisman Trophy and a national championship. The quarterback is the favorite to go first overall to the Las Vegas Raiders in April.

This year, though is a year to need defensive players, as five of the top six players in the draft are on the defensive side. That include EDGE Rueben Bain Jr., who is coming off a huge CFP run for the Miami Hurricanes.

Additionally, four of the top nine players in the draft went to Ohio State, further showing the talent that comes from the program.
