Just a few days before the 2025 NFL season, the league was rocked when star edge rusher Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons then signed a four-year, $188 million contract with Green Bay, making him the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history.

Parsons is considered one of the best defensive players in the NFL. In four seasons with the Cowboys, Parsons tallied 52.5 sacks — he had at least 12 every season — and 256 total tackles. Ever since coming into the league, he has been one of the most disruptive players on defense, and now, he's in Green Bay.

Micah Parsons net worth

Before he was traded to Green Bay and signed a mega-contract with the Packers, Micah Parsons was on his rookie contract. The No. 12 pick of the 2021 NFL Draft had a net worth of around $7 million before the trade, according to MARCA; he was still on his rookie contract, which was around $17 million with a $9.8 million signing bonus.

With the new contract, Parsons' net worth is not readily available, but it is expected to increase.

Micah Parsons NFL contract details

Micah Parson's new contract with Green Bay makes him the highest-paid non-QB in the NFL, earning an average of $46.5 million a year, which includes a $120 million fully guaranteed at signing, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

His contract puts him above TJ Watt, Ja'Marr Chase, Myles Garrett and Danielle Hunter, who round out the top-five highest-paid non-QBs. All of the top five signed new deals this offseason.

Micah Parsons — the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native, who played his college ball at Penn State — has signed two contracts throughout his NFL career. The numbers below are from Spotrac.

Through 2025, Parsons has earned over $62 million during his time in the NFL, and is slated to bring in around $40 million in cash each year with the Packers.

Micah Parsons business ventures and philanthropy

Along with his endorsement deals, the superstar has plenty of business and philanthropic ventures. This includes his podcast "The Edge with Micah Parsons," which airs on Bleacher Report.

He also has a key role with Mentality, a sports supplement company which focuses on pre-workout, protein powders, and focus-enhancing supplements.

Parsons has given back to his community as well, founding the Lion's Heart Foundation, which " is dedicated to supporting Families, Youth, and Gold Star Families by providing vital resources, mentorship, and community-driven programs."

According to the site, the foundation's mission is to "strengthen the bonds that hold families together, empower youth to reach their full potential, and uplift communities through compassion, resilience, and collaboration."

Where does Micah Parsons live? 

During his time with the Cowboys, Parsons purchased a home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for around $2 million.

When he signed his first NFL contract, he wanted to give back to the people that made his dream possible. His first major real estate investment was a home he bought for his mother in Parker, Texas, in 2021, a gesture that he publicly stated fulfilled a promise he had made to her.

Then, after he signed his contract with the Packers, making him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL, he posted that he’s officially getting his mom to retire and stop working.

In terms of luxury items, Parsons is a known car enthusiast, owning a Lamborghini Urus and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, per social media posts in 2024. He also has high-end jewelry, which includes a collection with GLD Shop.
