Some NFL players go viral for having funny names. Over the years, fans have enjoyed rooting for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Captain Munnerlyn, and Kool-Aid McKinstry.
With so many players in the league, some name overlap is inevitable. The New York Jets had cornerback Michael Carter, while the Arizona Cardinals had running back Michael Carter.
While that example isn’t very high-profile, a more notable name connection involves Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Josh Allen. The latter has since changed his last name and now goes by Hines-Allen.
Since every team plays each other at least once every four years, the Allens have faced off three times in their careers. Here’s a look at how Allen has performed against Hines-Allen.

Why did Josh Allen change his name to Josh Hines-Allen?
Hines-Allen changed his name for two reasons. First, he wanted to differentiate himself from the Bills quarterback. Second, he followed in his athletic family's footsteps. Hines-Allen credits his sister Myisha, who plays in the WNBA, as well as his other sisters, Kyra and LaTorri, who each played college basketball, for inspiring the change.
His uncle Gregory was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 1983 and his uncle Keith played college basketball. Hines-Allen said that the change was a "tribute to Joshua's maternal side of the family and the other relatives who have worn 'Hines' and 'Hines-Allen' on their jerseys."
