Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen appears to enjoy keeping to himself, but after separating from his longtime girlfriend, Brittany Williams, he was rumored to be dating actress Hailee Steinfeld. 

Allen, one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, was first linked to Steinfeld in May 2023. Two years later, the couple tied the knot. Each of them has been supportive of the other's career, as Allen has attended premieres with Steinfeld when he hasn't been in season, and she was in attendance when Allen won his first career MVP Award.

When did Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld meet?

We don't know when the couple officially met publicly. The first time we know that they went out together was on May 25, 2023 in New York City. The New York Post had the original story and pictures of the two. Allen and his previous girlfriend were together in March 2023, but just two months later, they had called it quits after a five-year relationship, and now the quarterback was out with Steinfeld.

How long have Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld been together?

A source confirmed to People Magazine on May 29, 2023 that Allen and Steinfeld were officially dating. The source said that they had "been hanging out for a few weeks" and that "it's new, but they are having fun." Given that timeline, it can be estimated that Allen and Steinfeld have been together since around May 15, 2023, though an exact dating anniversary is unknown.

How did Josh Allen meet Hailee Steinfeld?

We don't know for sure how the couple met. Given their status, there is a chance that they met in passing at an awards show in the past or at a party of a mutual friend. The earliest known involvement between them is from late May 2023, when they were first spotted together in New York. This wasn't the first night they met, though, as the source confirmed to People that they had been hanging out for a few weeks at that point.

Yes! Josh Allen and Steinfeld tied the knot on May 31, 2025, a little over two years after they first began dating.

May 25, 2023: Allen and Steinfeld spotted for the first time

This was the first time the couple was pictured in public, and they had a night out in New York City.

May 27, 2023: Allen and Steinfeld out again in NYC

Only two days later, the pair was spotted back out in the Big Apple, but this time they were joined by two other people who reporters did not recognize. 

May 29, 2023: Source tells People Magazine Allen and Steinfeld are dating

Four days after they were first spotted in public, a source confirmed to People Magazine that Allen and Steinfeld had been hanging out for a few weeks and were dating.

Mar 31, 2023: Allen and Steinfeld's big NYC week continues

Allen and Steinfeld went on a sushi date to Sushi by Bou in Chelsea. The restaurant's founder posted them on Facebook, and Allen is draped over Steinfeld. The couple was again joined by two other people for the meal. 

June 22, 2023: Allen and Steinfeld confirmed to still be dating

It was confirmed to People that the two were still dating. After a whirlwind debut week in the public eye, a lack of sightings for a few weeks had fans worried, but the source said the couple was "still dating and getting to know each other."

Oct. 2, 2023: Steinfeld goes shopping with Mama Allen

Steinfeld was seen shopping with Allen's mom as the two went to Leveled Up Buffalo in East Aurora, New York. The pair stocked up on some Bills gear. 

Oct. 12, 2023: Steinfeld and Allen support the Sabres

Allen and Steinfeld attended a hockey game between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers, taking in Buffalo's season opener from a suite.

Jan. 7, 2024: Steinfeld dodges engagement rumors

The actress was at the Golden Globes and was asked about Allen at the awards show and dodged a question about a ring on her finger when asked. 

Feb. 21, 2024: Source tells People that Allen and Steinfeld are serious

A source told People, "They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that. Hailee’s in a great place and would love to settle down if it’s with the right guy." The source also said that the idea of a proposal was still on the table as the couple was a few months shy of their one-year anniversary. 

July 23, 2024: After more than a year, Allen and Steinfeld go Instagram official

Allen finally posted Steinfeld to his grid, including pictures from the couple's recent trip to Paris. 

Nov. 22, 2024: Josh Allen-Hailee Steinfeld engagement

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram. 

Feb. 6, 2025: Allen and Steinfeld attend the 2025 NFL Honors

This was the first time that Allen and Steinfeld were able to walk a red carpet together. This was also the award show where Allen won his first career MVP Award.

May 31, 2025: Josh Allen-Hailee Steinfeld wedding

Allen and Steinfeld got married in late May, but the announcement and pictures didn't come to social media until later. The couple got married at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California

June 17, 2025: Josh Allen-Hailee Steinfeld honeymoon photos

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and Allen took to his Instagram to share some photos from the trip in the form of polaroid pictures.
