The New York Giants were in desperate need of a victory after a string of losses placed pressure on head coach Brian Daboll and his job security.

The Chicago Bears had other plans. After falling victim to Jaxson Dart’s heroics for three frames, the Bears found life in the fourth. New York was left rueing its missed chances as a result.

With that, here’s what you need to know about Chicago’s fourth-quarter rally in its 24-20 win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon.

How Bears beat Giants in Week 10

New York opened up a 10-point advantage to start the fourth quarter, fueled by a pair of Jaxson Dart rushing scores and Younghoe Koo’s accurate kicking.

The Bears, largely second-best throughout the contest, looked unlikely to get anything from the match as the clock dwindled. However they were aided by an injury to Dart, who exited the contest with a concussion ahead of the final frame.

Russell Wilson took reins of the Giants attack upon Dart’s exit. He huffed and puffed through the final 15 minutes. But he looked worse for the wear, offering an opening the Bears to make their attempted turnaround.

Caleb Williams kicked off the comeback with a two-yard strike to Rome Odunze with 3:56 left.

The second-year hurler ended things with a scramble from short range mere minutes later, sending Chicago’s faithful into raptures.

What happened to Jaxson Dart?

Dart was cut down prior to the start of the fourth quarter, felled by a concussion. It’s unclear when he sustained the injury, although he might have suffered it after fumbling the ball in the third quarter.

Jaxson Dart injury update

Dart exited the game in favor of Wilson at the start of the fourth quarter, walking gingerly to the locker room as Wilson walked New York’s attack onto the field.

He was subsequently evaluated for a concussion. After having his diagnosis confirmed, Dart was ruled as out for the remainder of the game.

Head coach Brian Daboll spoke about the situation after the game. He said, "as he was going back out onto the field, just didn't seem right." Daboll said that he told the trainers to look at Dart and he was evaluated for a concussion. Daboll confirmed that Dart wasn't checked for a concussion directly after the fumble, and wasn't checked until the QB was heading back out onto the field for the next drive.
