Shedeur Sanders is staying positive.

That's the only thing the Colorado quarterback can do amid his historic NFL Draft slide.

Sanders took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday morning with a message for those wondering how he's doing.

That's definitely a commendable mindset.

While it's always this time of year that we recall the QBs who weren't chosen high (Joe Montana in the 3rd round and Tom Brady in the 6th round being the biggest examples), those facts matter less when the season rolls around.

Sanders' biggest task will be showing up to whatever team ends up with him and performing to the absolute best of his ability.

He showed at Colorado that he can shine brightly even with a weak offensive line and putrid running game.

If he winds up in a more well-structured NFL program, Sanders will still have the chance to shine.

Growing up as the son of Deion Sanders had to be tricky for a football player, but Shedeur clearly grew to love the game he was playing.

He took it to Jackson State, then Colorado, and then to the top-10 of some draft experts board.

His fall outside the top-100 picks is basically unprecedented, but it doesn't change the fact that Shedeur Sanders will soon be an NFL player. It'll be up to him to make that opportunity count.
