MVP-caliber talents are set to clash atop the Arrowhead Stadium turf.
The Chiefs have been inconsistent this season, hampered by poor performances, suspensions and more. A postseason berth is far from guaranteed, with Kansas City on the outside looking in through 11 weeks.
And yet, Patrick Mahomes continues to perform. He is not quite as productive as he has been at his pinnacle. But he has found success despite receiving dwindling returns from his supporting cast sans Travis Kelce.
Still, there's a case to be made that Mahomes isn't the biggest star taking part in Sunday's affair. The Colts are real contenders for the AFC crown. Indianapolis tailback Jonathan Taylor is a major reason why, already eclipsing the 1,100-yard mark. He flashed his star power in the German hinterland, amassing 244 yards and three scores — his third three-TD game of the season.
Running backs don't get quite as much shine as their QB counterparts. Taylor, like Saquon Barkley last season, might be the exception.
