The Bears kicked off their holiday season with aplomb, downing the Eagles in their Black Friday tilt, 24-15.
Exactly one year after sacking former head coach Matt Eberflus, Chicago was once again in the holiday spotlight. This time, however, the Bears flaunted their might.
Caleb Williams was unspectacular, completing 17-of-36 passes for 154 yards, one touchdown, and one interception amid the Philadelphia wind. He was aided by impressive performances from DeAndre Swift and Kyle Monangai, both of whom rushed for more than 100 yards apiece.
They weren’t the only Bears committed to a hard-nosed style of play. Ben Johnson’s side sizzled on defense, making things difficult for the Eagles’ once-prolific attack. Much like Williams, Philadelphia signal-caller Jalen Hurts was solid — completing 19-of-34 passes for 230 yards and two scores — but he turned the ball over twice. And although Chicago’s offense wasn’t necessarily explosive, it was effective at maintaining possession.
All that amounted to yet another win for Johnson’s bunch. It’s still unclear whether the Bears are a bona fide contender in 2025, but victories like Friday’s certainly make them look the part.

Bears vs. Eagles live updates, highlights from NFL Black Friday game
(All times Eastern)
5:57 p.m.: The Eagles stuff the Bears on fourth down. They still have a chance, however slim it may be.
5:52 p.m.: Williams scrambles for the first on second-and-short. Philly is forced to burn the final of its three timeouts. It still has the two-minute warning to contend with, though.
5:45 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! The Eagles got the score they needed. Hurts found Brown for his second TD of the game. Unfortunately for them, Hurts’ subsequent two-point conversion attempt spurned Saquon Barkley’s grasp. Philadelphia is still down two possessions.

5:42 p.m.: The Eagles are making ground down the field, having climbed inside Chicago’s 30 courtesy of a handful of Hurts’ tosses. The clock is dwindling, so they’ll need a score quickly.
5:34 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN! That might do it for the Eagles! Williams evades Nolan Smith’s pressure before lofting a pearl to Cole Kent! It hasn’t been the easiest of displays for the Chicago side-winder. But he found his rhythm on that effort.

4:54 p.m.: The Eagles score their first touchdown since Sunday, and it's A.J. Brown.
After a 23-yard gain, Hurts lobs one up to Brown on the left side of the end zone and No. 11 goes up and gets it for a 44-yard score.
It's Brown's third touchdown in two games. But, Philly misses the field goal and still trails.
Bears 10, Eagles 9
4:46 p.m.: Much to the disappointment of the Philly fans, Hurts throws an interception. He was trying to find Brown downfield, but the route is jumped by former Eagle Kevin Byard, who now has his league-leading sixth interception on the year.

4:20 p.m.: Time expires in the first half, with the Bears leading 10-3. The Eagles exit the field to a rain of boos.
Chicago has outgained Philadelphia 222-83 in the game, and the Eagles have not scored a touchdown since the second quarter of Sunday's contest vs. Dallas.
4: 17 p.m.: Swift has had a strong first half, and it continues with a 13-yard screen pass to the Chicago 43.
4:14 p.m.: Once again on a 3rd & long, Hurts has to dump it to Will Shipley not even close to the chains.
Philadelphia will punt, and the boo-birds are loud.
4:13 p.m.: The Eagles let the time expire before the two-minute warning, much to the displeasure of the Philadelphia crowd.
#Eagles fans are pissed the team didn't run another play before the 2-minute warning. Honeymoon period following Super Bowl parade expired long before the #Bears rolled into town.

4:05 p.m.: Right after the Eagles offense goes three-and-out, the defense forces Chicago to do the same thing.
Williams gets sacked by Jalen Carter on 3rd & 10, and Chicago punts. Hurts and Philadelphia take over with 2:47 remaining in the first half.
3:59 p.m.: Philadelphia is forced to punt after three plays.

2:30 p.m.: Jalen Hurts embraced some of the Children’s Hospital patients who helped design his “My Cause, My Cleats” looks. Suffice to say; it made for a heartwarming encounter.

2:00 p.m.: A former Eagles icon is seeing his jersey lifted to the rafters today. Malcolm Jenkins, a multiple-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, will be handed the ultimate honor on Friday when he’s inducted into Philly’s ring of honor.
Here’s what he had to say about the achievement:
"And with all that daydreaming, with all the things I've envisioned, planned and work to do, none of it or not, did I ever really see this moment of being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame — to be thought of as one of the greats amongst people that I respected and idolized as a kid, with the Brian Dawkins of the world, the Reggie Whites, the McNabbs, to be alongside of them as peers is a huge honor, — not only to me, but to every coach who's been a part of it, every teammate who's been a part of it, to every fan, my family, who's been with me along the way.
"It's been one hell of a journey, and I'm super excited and humbled to be honored in this way."
