The Baltimore Ravens' third-string quarterback thoroughly outplayed the Chicago Bears and their 2025 No. 1 draft pick, Caleb Williams, in a 30-16 blowout victory Sunday.
Baltimore, which is 2-5 on the year, ended a four-game win streak for the Monsters of the Midway. Chicago falls to a 4-3 record so far.
Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley, a practice camp signing this summer, was subbed in for Cooper Rush — a less mobile option than Huntley or still-injured MVP signal caller LaMar Jackson.
A Chicago defensive star praises Tyler Huntley
Sean Hammond of The Chicago Tribune reports that two-time All-Pro Bears defensive tackle Grady Jarrett had high praise for Huntley postgame.
Jarret is in his debut season with Chicago, having ditched the Atlanta Falcons for the Bears in free agency.

“You’ve got to give Huntley the credit,” Jarrett said. “I mean, the guy — see, I remember when he was a Pro Bowl quarterback. I’ve played Huntley a couple times and I think he’s a good quarterback.”
Huntley completed 17-of-22 pass attempts for 186 yards and a touchdown. Huntley notched a 90.1 quarterback rating and a 116.9 passer rating.
Williams connected on 25-of-38 attempts for 285 yards and an interception. He recorded a middling 62.5 quarterback rating and a 77.2 passer rating.
“Shoutout to him for stepping up,” Jarrett said. “More than him, it’s just a good team over there. The record doesn’t reflect it, but that’s a really, really good, prideful team. They gave us their best shot today and we came up short.”
Chicago is hoping not to lose its moment further.
Next Sunday, the Bears will do battle against another club, the Cincinnati Bengals, missing their own Pro Bowl centerpiece — in this case Joe Burrow — at noon PT.
“Every win in this league is super hard and you can’t let one loss snowball into two,” Jarrett said. “So we just scrap this one, learn from this and get back to work.”
