NFL Week 5 begins with an NFC West matchup on Thursday night. We discuss our three favorite 49ers vs. Rams prop picks, which you can make using the current DraftKings promo code offer.
The Los Angeles Rams opened as a touchdown favorite, but the spread has moved since the news broke that Brock Purdy will be out for the San Francisco 49ers. Now, the Rams are 8.5-point favorites, with a total set at 44.5 points.
Best 49ers vs. Rams Prop Picks, Betting Odds
- Mac Jones: 220+ Passing Yards (+108 on DraftKings )
- Kyren Williams: 70+ Rushing Yards (-103 on DraftKings )
- Puka Nacua: Anytime TD Scorer (-105 on DraftKings )
If you parlay these picks on DraftKings, the odds are set at +625. A winning $10 three-leg parlay will result in a $72.50 payout.
Jones Records Over 220 Passing Yards on Thursday
Our 49ers-Rams prop picks start with Mac Jones, who has had some success when stepping in for Purdy this season. He threw for 279 yards against the Saints, followed by 284 yards in a win over the Cardinals.
The Rams have a much better defense than the two teams mentioned. However, I still have faith in Kyle Shanahan to put Jones in a place to have some success. I’m not even taking the 49ers to get the win on Thursday night, but Jones should do enough to surpass 220 yards in the air.
Another reason the total is so low is because of injuries to several SF wide receivers, including Jordan Watkins, Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings. Look for some new guys to get some work, like Kendrick Bourne and Demarcus Robinson.
Williams Has Rushing Success with At Least 70 Yards on the Ground
Kyren Williams is averaging 75.8 rushing yards per game this season for the Rams. He’s facing a defense that is missing Nick Bosa and allowed 124 yards rushing from Trevor Etienne last week.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Rams with a lead late in the game, giving Williams the chance to rack up some carries.
Nacua Find the End Zone for the Rams
Lastly, we have the NFL leader in receptions and receiving yards. Puka Nacua has 503 yards receiving so far this season, but he just got his first touchdown last week. I’m taking advantage of these odds, which would be much higher if he had several other scores.
He already has three games with 10+ receptions and 100+ receiving yards. It helps to have Matthew Stafford, who is still among the best passers in the NFL at 37 years old.
Navua wouldn’t be a bad option for the “King of the End Zone” offer on DraftKings Sportsbook. If he happens to score the longest TD of the night, you’ll win a share of $2 million in bonus bets.
Extra Pick: McCaffrey with Another Big Receiving Game
With all the receivers out for the 49ers, look for Christian McCaffrey to catch some passes for the 49ers and go over 60 receiving yards. The odds for the running back to record 60+ receiving yards are set at +102.
