The San Francisco 49ers have been bitten by the injury bug early on this season and quarterback Brock Purdy and wide receivers Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall haven't been immune to that.
Purdy has missed two games this season due to toe and shoulder issues and Jauan Jennings has missed one game and has battled ankle, rib and shoulder injuries.
Pearsall has yet to miss a game in 2025, but he was on the injury report last week with a knee issue, and just like Purdy and Jennings, he's on the injury report again this week.
Will the 49ers have three of their most important players on the field in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams?
Here's what we know.
Are Purdy, Jennings, Pearsall playing tonight?
According to the team's official injury report, Purdy, Jennings and Pearsall have all been ruled out for the Week 5 contest versus Los Angeles.
It's possible all three could've played this week if not for the quick turnaround of a Thursday night game. We may see all three back in the lineup for the Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With Purdy out, the 49ers will turn to Mac Jones once again. In two starts this year, Jones has completed 66.3% of his passes for 563 yards and four touchdowns to one interception. The Niners are 2-0 in his two starts.
Things are nowhere near as certain at wide receiver. There is no clear-cut No. 1 target with tight end George Kittle also sidelined, so look for guys like Skyy Moore, Kendrick Bourne and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to get more opportunities.
The 49ers and Rams will meet at SoFi Stadium on Thursday night, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
