The New York Jets have an injury concern with quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor suffered an injury in the first quarter and has since gone back to the locker room. Replacing him is undrafted rookie signal-caller Brady Cook.
With Justin Fields still on the team, it begs the question: why didn't the Jets turn to him instead of Cook upon Taylor's exit?
Here's what we know.
Why Justin Fields isn't replacing Tyrod Taylor
Fields isn't playing on Sunday because he was ruled out with a knee injury during the week.
Fields popped up on the injury report on Thursday with the knee issue and followed that up by not practicing on Friday before being ruled out.
Barring Taylor's return to the field, it'll be Cook the rest of the way.
Tyrod Taylor injury update
Taylor is officially questionable to return to the game against the Dolphins due to a groin injury.
