Why Aaron Glenn's 'not shaken' by Jets' 0-3 start image

The New York Jets haven't gotten off to the best of starts in Aaron Glenn's first stint as an NFL head coach, losing their first three games of the year.

But the Jets have been competitive in two of those losses, and one could make the case that it might be a little unlucky to have lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We knew coming into the season that it might be tough sledding for the franchise given where this rebuild was starting from, and through three weeks, that appears to be accurate. The 29-27 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers nearly saw Tyrod Taylor and Co. complete an almighty comeback, but they fell just short.

And despite the 0-3 start and narrowly missing out on their first win in Tampa, Glenn's faith hasn't been dented.

“I’m not shaken by this at all,” Glenn said. “I have a ton of confidence in the guys that we have, in the coaches that we have, but I do know this, we’re in a race to improve, we have to do a good job of that.”

Jets rebuild will take time under Glenn

This was never going to be a Washington Commanders-like turnaround for the Jets, considering how last year played out.

For most, in many preseason predictions, the Jets were at the bottom of the AFC East and winning maybe a handful of games, and right now, those predictions appear to be coming to fruition.

But that isn't anything new for Glenn and his coaching staff; they knew it was going to be a long, tough road, particularly this year as he establishes a culture he hopes will be the foundation of future success, and along the way, there will be plenty of ups and downs.

That first win for Glenn as a head coach is coming, and if his team plays like it did in the second half against the Buccaneers, it will be sooner rather than later.
