The New York Jets welcomed the Miami Dolphins to East Rutherford, New Jersey. But the game quickly got out of hand, as the Dolphins went up 21-0 very quickly.
But, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, the Jets saw starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor go down with an injury and leave for the locker room with a groin injury.
That means that the new quarterback for the Jets is rookie undrafted free agent Brady Cook. Who is this new Jets quarterback making his NFL debut against the Dolphins?

On 38 attempts this preseason, Cook completed 25 passes (65.8%) for 235 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He took one sack for a five-yard loss and ran for eight yards on three rushing attempts.
He didn't make the roster, sitting on the Jets' practice squad until this week, as Justin Fields was ruled out with a knee injury.
Cook was the backup quarterback coming into this week, and with Taylor now questionable with a groin issue, Cook is making his NFL debut against the Dolphins.
