The New York Jets have begun a fire sale at the 2025 NFL trade deadline. Their trade of Sauce Gardner, a two-time All-Pro, to the Indianapolis Colts shocked the NFL world, Gardner included.

But after this trade, a lot more moves became much more realistic. One of those potential moves was a Quinnen Williams trade. And now, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Jets are indeed trading Williams.

Williams is making his way to the Dallas Cowboys in the second blockbuster trade of the deadline for Darren Mougey and the Jets. Just like the Gardner move, the Jets are landing a haul for the Pro Bowl defensive tackle.

What did the Jets get in return for trading Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys?

The Jets' second deadline splash sends Williams to the Cowboys for a massive haul. According to Jay Glazer of NFL on Fox, Dallas is sending a first-round pick in 2027 and a 2026 second-round pick. New York is also adding Maxie Smith, a defensive tackle who's struggled in his time in Dallas.

As ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, this first-rounder in 2027 will be the higher selection between the Cowboys and Green Bay Packers selections.

Not only are the Jets landing a first-rounder in this trade, along with Mazi Smith and a second-rounder, but the first-rounder will be the higher of the Packers or Cowboys' first-round picks in 2027.

New York is pulling off another stunning trade, this time landing a first and second-round pick in the next two drafts for Quinnen Williams. The now former Jets defensive tackle is on a huge $96 million contract. But that deal is now in Dallas, as the Cowboys acquire Williams from the Jets to bolster their struggling defense.

New York is drastically shaking up their roster, and in the process, is assembling a huge draft arsenal for the upcoming NFL Drafts. After the two trades on deadline day, the Jets now have three first-round picks in 2027, two firsts in 2026, and two seconds in 2026.

Mougey and Aaron Glenn are reshaping the roster and setting up the franchise with a ton of draft capital coming back to New York in the next two draft classes. To find a franchise quarterback, the Jets are gutting their roster for as much ammo as possible.
