The New York Jets are 3-13 and in the middle of a very rough 2025 season. Aaron Glenn's first year as head coach has, to say the least, been a major disappointment.
But will the Jets move on from him after just one season? It's been a question at the forefront of many fans' minds, thanks to the brutal 0-4, negative 107 point differential, December, the Jets are coming out of.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Jets have a clear plan in place for Glenn beyond the 2025 season. Unfortunately for any fans hoping the Jets cut ties with Glenn, there haven't been any discussions of that nature this season.
Jets make Aaron Glenn's plan clear for 2026
"Here's the reality of the Jets' situation:" Breer reports, "There has been no discussion at the upper reaches of the organization about moving on from Aaron Glenn after one year."
Despite a rough 2025 season and very little optimism on the roster with so many holes to fill, the Jets organization doesn't plan to cut ties with Glenn after one year.
In fact, Breer's report suggests that no such conversations have even been happening. Woody Johnson and the Jets organization aren't giving up on Glenn just yet.

Even if the Jets turn in another rough Week 18 showing against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets aren't planning to move on from Glenn after the 2025 season.
Justin Fields was a major miss, and the Jets' front office, led by Darren Mougey, traded away multiple key defenders for a huge return of draft capital.
This Jets rebuild was never going to be a one-year fix. And it might not even be fixed in 2026 either. The Jets need to be patient, and for now, that looks to be the case in giving Glenn another year at least to figure things out.
