The New York Jets have been without star wide receiver Garrett Wilson since October 12th, when he injured his knee in London, England, against the Denver Broncos.

He did start Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, and was targeted three times throughout the contest, but didn't catch a single ball and missed most of the second half of the game as he tweaked his knee.

With the Jets on a short week and a tilt with the red-hot New England Patriots on deck, will New York have their star wideout back in time for Thursday night?

Garrett Wilson 'hopeful' for Patriots matchup

At his Monday morning press conference, head coach Aaron Glenn addressed the media regarding Wilson's knee injury.

"Hopefully, he'll be good to be able to play this week, but I don't want to stamp that just yet," Glenn said via ESPN's Rich Cimini.

If New York wants any chances of taking down the Patriots, who have won seven straight since starting the season 1-2, they're going to need their best pass catcher on the field.

Otherwise, they'll be relying on new additions, John Metchie III, and Adonai Mitchell, the latter of whom did not suit up in Sunday's victory over Cleveland.

Before being forced to miss time with the knee injury, Wilson was having himself a season.

Entering Week 6, he was the AFC's leading receiver and racked up 36 receptions, 395 yards, and four receiving touchdowns. He's missed dearly in the passing game.
