The New York Jets made the two biggest trades of the 2025 NFL trade deadline. They shipped off Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.
In return for both, the Jets landed a total of three first-round picks, one in 2026 and two in 2027, a 2026 second-round pick, defensive tackle Mazi Smith, and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.
But, after those two deadline stunners, the Jets made one other trade. This move was announced by the Los Angeles Chargers one hour after the 4:00 p.m. NFL deadline passed. Fittingly, it's a very minor trade.

The Chargers made two trades right at the deadline, with their pickup of Trevor Penning taking center stage. But the Chargers also made a small trade with the Jets.
According to the Chargers' announcement, the Jets are acquiring defensive back Ja'Sir Taylor for a conditional 2028 seventh-round pick.

New York made multiple trades involving first-round picks, the highest pick the Jets could get in a trade, and this last move involves the lowest pick that can be involved in a deal.
Taylor is a defensive back who was drafted in the 2022 draft in the sixth round by the Chargers. He's played in 57 games since being drafted, and all nine of his games for the Chargers in 2025.

He's recorded 84 tackles in four seasons with 14 passes defended and one interception. Through nine weeks, he's played just 16 snaps on defense for the Chargers.
Now, heading to the Jets, Taylor will factor into the cornerback depth after Sauce Gardner and Michael Carter II were traded away.
The Jets made two massive trades at the 2025 NFL trade deadline, but their fourth and final move couldn't be further removed from those blockbusters.
