The New York Jets, after a brutal 2025 season, are looking to make some changes this offseason.

While Aaron Glenn isn't expected to go anywhere, some of the other areas of the coaching staff could be up in the air.

Offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand is one such individual who could see some change. But, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reveals it's not going to be changes with Engstrand, just changes around him.

"As it stands now," Breer writes, "I think it'll mean changes around OC Tanner Engstrand, with perhaps some more quarterbacking infrastructure, rather than replacing him."

This report from Breer suggests that the Jets will not be firing Engstrand this offseason, and instead look to add more coaching around him.

To develop a young quarterback, the Jets need to create a better environment. While adding offensive line and receiver talent is important, so too is the coaching staff.

New York cannot go into 2026 without any changes. Fortunately, according to Breer's report, some coaching changes are coming for the Jets on offense.

But, Engstrand, the offensive coordinator, isn't going anywhere. Instead, the Jets will add more voices around him with a quarterback focus to help coach a new quarterback, likely a rookie, for the 2026 season.

The Jets are going to be focusing on their quarterback position a lot this offseason, and as part of that effort, creating a support group in the coaching staff for a young quarterback is something the Jets are strongly considering.
