The New York Jets got their second win of the 2025 NFL season. But, during the win over the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Garrett Wilson went down with an injury to the same knee he'd been nursing for weeks.

There was immediate concern over his long-term health, as the star receiver could once again be held out as he recovers from an injury.

ESPN insider Rich Cimini shared the update on Wilson, which was some bad news paired with a sigh of relief. While Wilson will miss some time, it's not expected to be a season-ending injury.

Jets to lose Garrett Wilson for multiple weeks after knee injury

"Bad news for the Jets offense: WR Garrett Wilson is expected to miss at least 3-4 weeks with a knee sprain, source says," Cimini reports. "Good news is no surgery, just rehab."

The Jets will be without Wilson for the next few weeks, as Wilson re-injured the knee he was held out of the last few weeks before the bye for.

He returned in Week 10, but early in the game, he re-injured his knee, and with a knee sprain, he's now slated to miss the next 3-4 weeks.

Wilson will miss the matchups against the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons. He has a chance to return against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14, but if he doesn't, he'll have just four weeks of his 2025 season left to play.

The Jets, at 2-7, have zero reason to rush Wilson back from injury. He's a key part of the offense, but rushing him back and risking a worse injury that requires surgery would be a disaster amid a lost year.

Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie, Arian Smith, Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams, and Allen Lazard will make up the EJTs' wide receiver room with Wilson out.

So far this season, Wilson has 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns. The 25-year-old receiver has played in seven games, but his Week 10 was cut short due to a re-injury of his knee, which will likely keep him out for the next 3-4 weeks.
