At 0-6, the New York Jets should be evaluating everything.

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, the NFL's lone winless team needs to decide which players are available and which players are not.

One edge rusher is believed to be a highly sought-after piece, but a Jets insider believes New York would have to be blown away to even consider moving him.

Connor Hughes says it would take 'a lot' for Jets to trade Jermaine Johnson II

According to SNY's Connor Hughes, teams have been inquiring about former first-round pick Jermaine Johnson II.

"DE Jermaine Johnson is a name that has come up for several teams in need of edge help in trade discussions, sources told SNY," wrote Hughes on X.

"It would take 'a lot' for the Jets to part with Johnson, a team involved in those conversations said."

Johnson, the Jets' 26th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been a key defensive player since arriving in New York.

In 36 games played, the former FSU Seminole has totaled 11 sacks, 14.5 stuffs, and one interception taken back for a touchdown.

While the Jets should be looking to trade players on expiring contracts for future draft capital, Johnson is not one of those players.

A defensive end of his caliber is someone the Jets should be building around, not running out of town.

Unless a team comes knocking on general manager Darren Mougey's door with an offer he can't refuse, expect the Florida State product to stick around in New York.
