The New York Jets had a pair of post-June 1 cuts this offseason, a list that includes quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker C.J. Mosley.

As a result, the time has come for the Jets to collect that money. According to CBS Sports' John Breech, the Jets are picking up $13.5 million in cap space thanks to cutting Mosley and Rodgers.

With that money now in the bank, the Jets have $36.7 million in cap space to work with, according to Over the Cap.

While the Jets have moved forward with Justin Fields, the future of Rodgers remains uncertain. The expectation is that the future Hall of Famer will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but we continue to wait for that to actually happen.

Mosley also remains available on the open market. Things have been quiet when it comes to the former Pro Bowl linebacker and there's no telling where he'll end up.

With their increase in cap space, the Jets should still be exploring ways to improve the roster, especially at wide receiver, where the team has Garrett Wilson and a bunch of question marks.

The Jets are hoping a group that consists of Allen Lazard, Josh Reynolds and rookie Arian Smith will be enough to support Wilson and Fields, who needs all the help he can get to be in position to succeed in New York.
