Former Jets offensive lineman throws ultimate insult at Justin Fields after loss to Patriots image

The New York Jets suffered their first loss since Week 7, losing to the New England Patriots 27-14 and falling to 2-8 on the year. It was another rough game for quarterback Justin Fields, as he went 15-of-26 for just 116 yards and the Jets' offense totaled just 245 yards of offense.

Appearing on SNY after the game, former New York Jets offensive lineman Willie Colon took aim at Fields, saying he isn't capable of playing quarterback in the NFL.

"It's tough, man, because Aaron Glenn's gonna sit up there and talk about how he needs to watch the tape," Colon says. "You don't need to watch anything - Justin Fields is not an NFL quarterback. Let's just be honest... He shouldn't have played in the second half... We watched missed throws, bad mechanics, he doesn't trust his feet... This is ridiculous."

While Fields has thrown just one interception this season, that has a lot to do with the fact that he hasn't taken many chances with the football. He has a QBR of 35.7 and is averaging just 142.8 yards per game through the air.

The Jets could explore going to Tyrod Taylor as their starting quarterback going forward. Considering Taylor showed he'll take some shots downfield against the Panthers, on top of the fact that the Jets are 2-8, some sort of change is needed.
