New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn had some fun at his Tuesday press conference at the expense of the Jets' beat reporters.

ESPN Jets insider Rich Cimini broke the news last night that star wide receiver Garrett Wilson is going to miss another three to four weeks with his knee injury, something Glenn clearly did not want reported ahead of their Thursday night matchup with the New England Patriots.

Cimini was not in attendance at Glenn's Tuesday presser, and it was probably for the best.

The first-year head coach opened his media availability saying he was going to pass on talking about injuries.

"I'm going to pass on talking about injuries, since Rich [points to where Cimini usually sits] — oh, he's not here — has all the answers, so you guys can get all the injuries from Rich," Glenn said pointedly.

When told by reporters that they wanted to hear the injury news from him, Glenn once again used Cimini as a shield.

"You guys have been hearing it from me, but now, since Rich is reporting stuff that I haven't said, then maybe you should ask Rich."

Glenn has been standoffish with the media since he came on the job as head coach of the Jets.

Since quarterback Justin Fields' on-field struggles started, he's declined to name a starting quarterback for New York's last three games.

The former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator was likely trying to gain a slight competitive advantage by not ruling out Wilson, the Jets' biggest threat in the passing game, until he had to.
