Jaxson Dart did more than take the job in Week 4. He gave the fans of the New York Giants something to look forward to when he stepped in as the starter over Russell Wilson.

He provided a spark for the fan base and team which led them to win two of 3 of their next three games at that point of the season.  He gave them a new dynamic and made the offense excited as well as unpredictable.

When Dart became the guy the team followed suit, which made him the clear choice for the Giants’ MVP for 2025.

The Giants turned to Dart after three weeks of inconsistency and frustration. Once he took over, the offense had some rhythm to it. He played with command and confidence early, throwing for 1,556 yards in only ten games with 11 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions.

Not super flashy numbers but they were crucial for a team looking to get back to some sort of relevance. As this team had been missing that sort of element from that position for a while.

Dart did not need a slow build. He arrived ready. The ball came out on time. The reads were sharp. The offense looked like it belonged to someone who had been in the league for years, not a young quarterback thrown into the season’s chaos.

He pushed the ball vertically, attacked the middle of the field and refused to play cautious football when the moment demanded more.

He elevated the players around him with how aggressive and precise he played. Dart built instant chemistry with his receivers and gave them real chances to win one on one. Even when his top guy Malik Nabers went down he still was able to get the ball down the field.

His ball placement turned tight windows into completions. His willingness to attack with confidence changed the way defenses lined up against New York.

The offense also shifted because of how well he handled pressure. Dart used his legs to make plays when the pocket collapsed and kept drives alive by extending plays without forcing throws. That control in chaotic moments helped the Giants stay in games and kept the offense working at a steady pace instead of losing possessions to panic or hesitation.

There were standout players on both sides of the ball, but none influenced the season’s direction like Dart. He stepped in for a veteran starter and transformed the offense with production, poise and momentum.

If MVP means the player who mattered most, Dart made the decision simple. He gave the Giants real stability, real spark and real hope the second he took over. Jaxson Dart did not just fill a spot. He brought a different energy. And that is why he should be the Giants’ MVP for the 2025 season.
