The New York Giants suffered their 11th loss of the 2025 campaign on Monday night in a blowout defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots.
The rout was on from the opening quarter, when the Pats jumped out to a 17-0 lead over the Giants.
New York did show some signs of life on offense the rest of the way, but not nearly enough to overcome the early deficit.
The good news is, the loss helps the Giants in the 2026 NFL draft order, as a win would have dropped New York down, which would have been bad news.
Here's where the Giants sit now, according to Tankathon.
2026 NFL draft order
1. Tennessee Titans (1-11)
2. New York Giants (2-11)
3. New Orleans Saints (2-10)
4. Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)
5. Cleveland Browns (3-9)
6. Washington Commanders (3-9)
7. New York Jets (3-9)
8. Arizona Cardinals (3-9)
9. Los Angeles Rams (via Atlanta Falcons, 4-8)
10. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)
The Giants entered the week sitting in the No. 3 spot, but now they move up one spot to No. 2 behind the Tennessee Titans going into Week 14, when the Giants will be on their bye.
However, New York won't be totally secure in that spot this coming week. The Saints could jump the Giants to re-take the No. 2 spot with another loss in Week 14 because New Orleans has a lower strength of schedule.
Conversely, if the Saints win and the Titans lose, the Giants would move up into the No. 1 spot because they have a lower strength of schedule than Tennessee.
So, while the Giants are idle in Week 14, there could still be some movement.
