As the New York Giants search for a new head coach, the team’s front office made a roster move by bringing in a former Kansas City Chiefs player.

Marlon Tuipulota lands with the Giants on a futures contract. The veteran defensive tackle has been in the NFL since the 2021 season.

Via @JordanRaanan: The #Giants signed former Chiefs defensive lineman Marlon Tuipulota to a reserve/future contract. He's played in 33 career games with two starts.

Tuipulota entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick out of USC. He spent four seasons in the NCAA, appearing in 33 games.

During his college run, Tuipulota produced 104 tackles, 15 for a loss, and generated 8.5 sacks. He was picked 189th overall by the Giants’ NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Throughout the first three seasons of his career, Tuipulota played in Philadelphia, picking up 28 games of action. He started in just one of those matchups. Throughout his Eagles tenure, Tuipulota produced 43 tackles, four for a loss, and got four hits on the quarterback. He finished his Eagles tenure with three sacks.

During the summer of 2024, Tuipulota joined the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad. It wasn’t long before he was brought up to the main roster.

In his first season with the Chiefs, Tuipulota appeared in just two games, starting in one of those matchups. He had a quiet year before landing on the injured reserve in January 2025.

Ahead of the 2025 NFL season, Tuipulota was cut but brought back to Kansas City as a member of the practice squad. He managed to make three appearances on the field over the past season. The 26-year-old tackle finished his Chiefs run with five tackles.

Tuipulota now joins a rebuilding Giants team, following a 4-13 season.
