The New York Giants' newest player has traveled an interesting athletic path.
They signed DT Casey Rogers to their practice squad on Monday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Rogers initially came into the NFL in 2024 as an undrafted free agent signee of the Giants.
He spent summer 2025 preparing for the new season with the Buffalo Bills but didn't make the final roster.
Rogers also has a link to professional lacrosse. In November, the Philadelphia Wings announced they had signed Rogers to a three-year contract. It's not clear at the moment if that has gone by the wayside.

In high school in central New York, Rogers was a lax star at Westhill High School who at one point was committed to playing college lacrosse at powerhouse Syracuse University.
He also was repping Division III football powerhouse SUNY Cortland in the jacket he signed his contract in on Monday:

The Giants, at 2-11, are simply in an evaluation period. This is a chance for them to get eyes on Rogers before the year is out and see if he has the possibility to make them better in 2026.
