The New York Giants were able to add some depth to their defensive line while also weakening the depth of their biggest rivals.

Late Monday night, the Giants agreed to terms on a three-year deal with former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Chauncey Golston. The 27-year-old pass-rusher had a career year with Dallas in 2024, logging a career-high 5.5 sacks.

As the Giants poached one of the ascending pass-rushers from the Cowboys depth chart, superstar Micah Parsons immediately let his feelings be known on social media.

It remains to be seen what kind of role Golston will have in Shane Bowen's defense. He played mostly on the edge in 2024 when he posted a career-high 37 pressures, but he also thrived as a three-technique under Dan Quinn — before he left for the Washington Commanders.

Golston should be able to provide more depth for a Giants pass-rush that desperately needs more contributing pieces, and it never hurts when a superstar rival isn't happy about losing one of his teammates within the division.
