The New York Giants may have gotten one of the biggest values in the 2025 NFL Draft.
In the fifth round at No. 154 overall, the Giants added some depth to the offensive line, grabbing Purdue guard Marcus Mbow.
Despite being projected as a Day 2 pick, Mbow slid down draft boards all the way to the fifth round. After making some big moves earlier in the draft, the Giants finally landed some quality depth with upside to bring to the offensive line.
Here's how the NFL experts graded the Giants' selection of Mbow.
Marcus Mbow NFL draft grades
Ostly: "The Giants get a prospect who was predicted to be a sure-fire Day 2 pick mid-way through Day 3. Mbow played right tackle for the Boilermakers but his short arms and lean frame project best inside at guard. He has a powerful punch despite his size and could be a plug-and-play starter on the interior for the Giants as a rookie."
Trapasso: "Collegiate OT who's probably a guard in the NFL. Such a natural athlete, with stellar balance when contacting defenders near the line of scrimmage. Latches on and will drive them out of the play routinely. Mean streak is clear plus to his game and he has outstanding hand work. With more strength he can outplay this draft position. Offensive line help for the G-Men. Smart."
Walter Cherepinsky, Walter Football: A
Cherepinsky: "Given how poor the Giants’ offensive line has been, they can’t be criticized for adding quality blocking for Jaxson Dart. Marcus Mbow is a bit of a project because he needs to get stronger for the NFL, but he has good quickness and athleticism. I love the upside."
