New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers and it is reportedly believed to be the worst-case scenario.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Nabers is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, which would end his 2025 season.
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed the NFL Network report, unfortunately. Nabers is due for more testing to confirm the injury.
The injury occurred in the second quarter when Nabers went up for a pass and came down hard, but it was his right knee that got injured after his foot appeared to get stuck in the turf.
This is obviously a devastating blow, as the Giants' offense was struggling even with its best weapon in the passing game.
Making his absence more painful, the Giants' rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart, will have to navigate the rest of his first season without his No. 1 weapon.
Meanwhile, the Giants are going to hear it from fans and the rest of the NFL, as the turf at MetLife Stadium has been an issue for years now, yet the team has ignored the issue.
This might make the team finally do something about it, but we won't hold our breath.
