The Baltimore Ravens shocked the NFL world when they fired long-time head coach John Harbaugh Tuesday evening. Harbaugh was the second-longest tenured head coach in the NFL, trailing only Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, he begins to look elsewhere for a new head coaching job, and his suitors are in no short supply.
The New York Giants are reportedly very interested in making Harbaugh their next head coach, per Gary Myers.
"[Harbaugh] is expected to start interviewing by the end of the week," Meyers reports on X. "The Giants so far have shown as much if not more interest as any team. Nine teams already have made inquiries and there are only six openings -- not counting the Ravens. Sounds like some coaches are hanging by a thread."
Myers adds that Harbaugh has been "doing his homework on Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.
"Harbaugh has been doing his homework on Giants rookie QB Jaxson Dart and has received very positive reviews."
It certainly sounds like the interest from the Giants and Harbaugh is mutual. New York is set to interview former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski on Wednesday, and it seems all but certain Harbaugh will interview for the job, as well.
