Giants' Russell Wilson unveils post-retirement plans after Week 14 announcement image

The future of New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson remains murky.

After being demoted to the No. 3 quarterback following his benching for Jaxson Dart, Wilson is almost certainly going to be elsewhere in 2026.

It remains to be seen if Wilson will continue playing, though, as he could choose to retire with his career in the toilet after showing clear decline the past few seasons.

If Wilson does choose to retire, it appears he might seek out a career in media, as it was announced on Thursday he will be joining the CBS broadcast team as a guest analyst during the Giants' bye in Week 14.

"Thrilled to have 10x Pro Bowler, 2020 Walter Payton Man of the Year and Super Bowl Champion [Russell Wilson] on to talk ball this Sunday," CBS revealed.

While CBS didn't say exactly what Wilson will be doing, we would assume he'll be part of the group in the studio on Sunday.

A career in media would be a logical step for Wilson, who is well-spoken and has a ton of football knowledge after a lengthy playing career.

Of course, as we've seen with future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees, those qualities don't always equate to success in media.

We'll have a better idea of how likely Wilson is to succeed in that area after getting a look at him on the CBS broadcast in Week 14.
