Russell Wilson dropped an important quote shortly after revealing he made a big change entering the 2026 NFL offseason.
“I’m not blinking. I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas,” the veteran quarterback told the media on Wednesday.
Wilson was referencing a Week 2 battle between the New York Giants and the Cowboys, which required overtime to settle the score. It resulted in a 40-37 win for the Cowboys, but it was a turn-the-clock-back type of game for Wilson.
The veteran QB went 30-41, throwing for 450 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He rushed three times for 23 yards. He was clutch and brought back the exciting factor about his game that shone when he was with the Seattle Seahawks.
However, he wasn’t doing that with the Giants long-term. By Week 4, it was Jaxson Dart time. The Wilson stint was over, leaving the veteran quarterback to answer questions about potentially retiring.
This week, Wilson made it clear he’s not trending towards hanging it up. In fact, it’s been revealed that he made a major change, switching agents before another run at free agency.
Russell Wilson said Monday he fully intends to play next season. Also switched recently to super-agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First, according to NFLPA records.

Wilson earlier in week: “Yeah, I’m not blinking. I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas."
Wilson is going to test the market and have a new voice selling his services.
Before he came to the Giants, Wilson spent one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He appeared in 11 games, completing 214 of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. The Steelers went 6-5 during that stretch.
Wilson’s short stints in Pittsburgh helped him shake some of the criticisms he landed during his two years with the Denver Broncos, but many questions remain.
It’s clear that the 37-year-old isn’t bringing the same value he once did during his decade-long run with the Seattle Seahawks, but there is still value that can be brought to the table in the right situation. Wilson will be a name to watch in the free agent QB market this upcoming offseason.
