Abdul Carter didn't get onto the field for the New York Giants' first series Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
After the game, it was revealed that that was a punishment for the rookie out of Penn State.
Carter spoke honestly to reporters to share his side of things.
"I made a mistake during the week that was detrimental to the team," Carter said, via ESPN. "That was the consequence of it. Got to live with it."
The Packers ran six plays on the opening drive, for which Carter wasn't on the field. Green Bay ended up punting.

It was termed a "coach's decision" by interim head coach Mike Kafka.
"I love Abdul and what he brings to this team," Kafka said, via ESPN. "The skill set he has, this guy loves ball. I'm excited to watch him attack this week of practice and continue to work and grow and be the great player that I think he is."
Carter was the No. 3 overall pick out of Penn State. He only has half a sack this season, but his overall pressure stats are solid among the rookie class.
He just has to keep his focus on the right things.
"I already know. Whatever I do is going to have consequences," Carter said. "That was the consequence. Have to live with it. Keep playing."
The Giants lost to the Packers by a touchdown to fall to 2-9.
